Replacement Brooms

Here we’ll talk about some general features of Bucher Johnson VT, VS, LT, 600 and 605 series replacement brooms. For instance, Genuine 100% Australian made Wide sweep brooms, in Red Poly or a Poly/Wire bristle combo, that come with a variety of options, are a great choice. In contrast we highlight the Bucher MacDonald Johnston imported blue poly main brooms.

We’ll also take a look at the Bucher Johnston Channel or Gutter brooms options.  Such as two, three and four row wire bristled gutter brooms, poly bristled brushes and the features and benefits of Australian made products.

Bucher wide sweep and gutter brushes are generally available ex stock. However, for older models, Australian brooms can be made to order within a couple of weeks. 

Genuine 100% Australian Made Brooms

100% Australian made, Bucher Macdonald Johnson VT, VS, LT, 600 and 605 series Wide Sweep and Gutter brooms can easily and quickly be adapted to suit every sweeping situation.

Furthermore, Australian brooms utilise materials that are sustainably sourced, use less energy, break down quickly in Landfill, and can easily be recycled.

Australian Wide Sweep brushes: Red poly is wound onto a steel core, wire can be added to the Poly where a vigorous sweep is required. It’s also worth noting that stiffer or softer bristles are available, depending on your specification.

Australian Gutter brooms: are generally, timber backed and filled with 2 rows of wire for an aggressive clean.  In contrast, Poly bristled gutter brooms are used where wire might be an issue, in airports for example.  Again, you can specify the stiffness of poly based on your needs and you can see here What a difference the Right Poly can make

Imported Brooms

For those who prefer Imported brooms, Bucher Macdonald Johnson VT, VS, LT, 600 and 605 series Wide Sweep brooms and Gutter brooms are available.

Imported brooms are made from materials that are not sustainably sourced (petroleum). Consequently, imported brooms require more energy to make, get shipped 1000’s of Kilometres, and ultimately take up to a 1000 years to break down in Landfill. However, if you find these brooms work better for you, we have them available. 

Imported Wide Sweep brushes; Blue poly is “Punched” into a Plastic core. This is a “one size fits all” broom, with no options available for wire to be added (exception being the MB045PW), or for variations in the stiffness of poly.

Imported Gutter brooms; are plastic backed and filled with either 3 or 4 rows of wire for an aggressive clean.  What’s best 2, 3 or 4 Row Wire Gutter Brooms

Whereas Poly bristled gutter brooms are used where wire might be an issue, in airports, footpaths and Malls for example.

Once again these are a “one size fits all” broom, with no options available in the stiffness of poly.
