Drag brooms are commonly utilised for finishing Asphalt and resealing projects.
Similarly, drag brooms are frequently utilised to maintain grain pads and grain stores.
Drag Brooms were the preferred choice for road builders before Segmental and Spirally wound rotary brooms were introduced. Cane was the material used for making the bristle.
However, even in the present time, Drag Brooms may still be necessary on "Main roads" during the final road base preparation.
When the Drag Broom frame is correctly configured (we can provide assistance with this), these Drag behind Brooms are suitable for use on Tractors and Heavy equipment.
In addition to being dragged behind, the frame and brooms can be used on Skid Steers, Bobcats, Fork lifts and Heavy plant, where the Brooms are pushed forward.
This opens up the uses for Drag brooms in:
Sand and Soil Yards
Recycling & Refuse Plants
Warehouses
Construction Sites
Nursery’s
In March 2000, Nick Eden and Tony McGuire from Graincorp Toowoomba collaborated to create the inaugural Drag Broom system specifically designed for the Grain Industry. As a result, 1000’s of Drag Brooms have been supplied to Grain companies, grain handlers, and to many other industries. Furthermore, they are still utilized for Road Base preparation.
