If you need to sweep lightweight dust, dirt, and debris, Bobcats enclosed bucket broom is the perfect solution. These sweepers work best on firm and mostly smooth surfaces, such as concrete, asphalt, and pavers.

Benefits of the Enclosed Bucket Broom

• Due to the suppression of dust whilst sweeping, the Bobcat sweeper bucket often complies with environmental laws and regulations.

• This Enclosed sweeper works well whether the Skid Steer is moving forwards or backwards. The bristles on the bottom travel in the same direction as the skid steer. When sweeping forwards, the bristles flick debris towards the rubber skirt and up to the bonnet. Next, debris passes over bristles and into the bucket. Conversely, when sweeping in reverse, the debris is pushed straight into the bucket.

• You can transport debris in the sweepers’ bucket and empty it to a rubbish heap, truck, or a site bin.

• Bobcats Enclosed Bucket Broom has wear strips, made of hardened steel and welded to the leading edge of the bucket. And as a result, the wear strip prolongs the lifespan of the bucket.

• This Front Bucket Broom has an optional gutter / side broom, which is ideal for cleaning channels, potholes, edges, corners, gutters and other areas the main bristles can’t reach.

Bobcat Sweeper Replacement Bristles

You can choose from a variety of 100% Australian made replacement brushes for all Bobcat sweepers. Generally, your it will be fitted with brush sections, also referred to as wafers or segments. However, it is possible to convert Bobcat sweepers to allow for a 1 or 2 piece brush to be fitted instead.

We affectionately call Bobcat brush sections “Wobbly Brooms” as they are convoluted (not flat). This wobble in sections means there is no need to use spacers. Simply slide 1 segment on after the other, as shown in the diagram. If you wish, you can include an additional section by nesting them on each end. Some operators recommend this for better sweep.

Replacement bristle options

Different grades of poly bristles are available, and adding wire sections makes the brush stiffer and the sweep more aggressive.

If you have retrofitted your Bobcat Sweeper to be able to use a 1 or 2 piece brush, again we have a variety of options. The benefit of the 1 or 2 piece brooms is they are easier to remove and replace, and often there is also a cost saving. Furthermore, as required, we can build a “made to order” brush to your specifications.
